Day 517 | Sevenhill picnic area: sound familiar?

There was a moment today when having biked across the valley and then up the side of a small hill you look back from a high spot almost back to Burra, the valley a patchwork of wheat and canola in varying colours due to the difference in the ripeness of the crops.
It’s fantastic.
Then you go over the brow of the hill and right there is the dark green showing the start of the vineyard areas of the marvellous Clare Valley.
Not much more than 100 km from Adelaide from now on it’s population density, traffic, close settled farmland.
I’m getting nostalgic for those wide open spaces of Birdsville, Cape York, Meekatharra, I sense a major change is happening in my travels.
