Day 84 | Yardie Homestead Caravan Park: tootling down the coast for the day

Yeah, I know this is supposed to be a cycle tour but here am I snorkelling in the tropical waters instead.
You might not believe this. I couldn’t quite.
With a turtle.
After swimming straight off the beach.
Swimming with a turtle, and a few hundred million fish.
It’s better than Coral Bay, the sea is a couple of degrees warmer for a start. The coral is, err, coral, as in how we usually define it rather than those dinner table sized soft brown roses. Delicate pointy, antler type stuff, with colours, often green although there is some bright blue.
The reef edge is much closer, you can hear the big surf breaking.
Even bigger Emperors than further south.
