Day 433 | 7km past Pemberton: out in the 1931 forest regrowth

34 km | Heading west total: 15,544 km

Waking to the sound of the pitta patta of little raindrops this morning. Got quite used to that.

What is taking some getting used to, now that we have rotated well past the Equinox, is the shortened daylight hours.

The sun is struggling to break through the clouds at 6 20 am and darkness crashes in prior to 6 pm.

There’s less than 11 hours a day of light.

Not saying sunshine, ain’t much of that around these autumn days.

This time last year I was heading north to the Dry Season. Makes a whole lot of sense now.
