Well, I’ve been the recipient of a great deal unprovoked kindness in Broome.

It’s been marvellously restorative.
On my way again, there’s a realisation that hits once I turn off at the Roebuck Plain roadhouse.
A sign says:
Sandfire 286
Pardoo 424
Port Hedland 576
There’s a vast lot of very little between here and Sandfire.
No houses, shops or water supplies.
Skirting the Great Sandy Desert.
Sandfire is the next roadhouse and it’s going to be a 3 day ride into the significant headwind.
