Day 129 | more Hall’s Creek: that'll be the third night

rest day 2

Yes, another rest day. After the 15 days on the Tanami the bones are feeling weary.

But it’s maybe the symptom of something else: getting my head around what to do now that I have finally reached the end.

So far on this trip there’s generally been a clear goal: the Great Ocean Road; Adelaide; the Mawson Trail; Oodnadatta; Finke; etc. Once I made it to Alice there was heading up the Tanami Track foremost in my mind.

It’s strange I never really concentrated at all on what I would do when I reached the end.

Now there’s a detour up to Purnululu National Park as recommended by Seb and back here which will occupy most of a week. Not a lot of specifics after that although I’ll be making my way to Darwin via the Duncan Road and Buntine Highway.
