Day 437 | Chillagoe Eco Park: time for a shower

36 km | zzOz total: 13,052 km

One thing a decent Outback hardware store has is a good supply of bolts of all sizes and lengths.

Chillagoe might have around 250 inhabitants but it’s starting to get to be a decent drive to anywhere else, the hardware store is superb for my limited needs, and my seat post issue was therefore resolved real quick: two bolts, one spare, numerous spring and flat washers, all for $1.50.

It used to be the centre of a large mining industry, there’s an old copper smelter ruin near town, but the last mine closed last year, it’s now all tourism.

It’s amazing limestone karst country around here, I decided to avoid the underground cave experience, there’s a few options, some costing a bit, instead concentrating on the ridiculous limestone piles around.

I can handle one day as a tourist.
