Day 387 | Approaching Iron Range National Park: another bush camp

Feeling frisky today.
Maybe it’s the state of the road, yesterday was softish, today had a few stretches approximating Roland Garros clay courts.
Crossing the Wenlock and the more notorious Pascoe Rivers was OK, it was one of the smaller unnamed creeks that surprised when the trailer started to float, the water was up to the bike hubs.
The road was a real roller coaster with the down bits often with a beaut surface allowing speeding up the other side, the caravan filled with water supplies a missile as it accelerated down the drop with plenty of momentum for the up component.
Ooops, there were also some watery bottoms which required more careful negotiation.
Camping tonight I discovered 2 broken spokes, both non-drive side, ie, easily replaced, didn’t need to take the trailer off, but somewhat inexplicable with those Swiss stainless replacements from Cairns.
