Day 62 | Rocky Pool: the pool is more akin to a lake

I’ve been travelling for long enough to know there is some perversity to the Australian place naming system.
Rocky Pool: you know there will be some sand involved.
And so it eventuated.
After a fun, screaming, rushed, blown, ride, the fastest long, slight, downhill conjoined with substantial tailwind, 100 km before a marginally late lunch, helped by an increasingly absent food load and a limited water supply, well, that last 4 km past the turnoff on the road over sand didn’t matter so much.
