Day 181 | heading to Merl campsite Kakadu: and a touch of civilisation

62 km | Heading west total: 7,965 km

Made it to the civilisation at Jabiru for a few hours having run out of porridge, well, basically out of food full stop.

Brekky is generally a good meal to go out for on the road: it’s cheap, you’re not expected to drink alcohol and they load up the plate with plenty of calories for your money. People out here demand a decent brekky and it’s usually delivered.

It’s exactly 6 months since I left Melbourne today and coincidentally I went through the 8000 km mark.

Seems that’s something worthy of celebration.

6 months!!
