Day 254 | near Gecko siding Millstream Chichester NP: on a brand new sealed road no one knows has been built

So begins the first day of the next big leg of my journey.
I’m leaving the coast which I have basically followed from Darwin and am heading inland.
I estimate I am about 6 weeks later than would be advisable to avoid the nasty heat and humidity. I gotta get pedalling to get south asap.
Summer is on the way and the summer here is an inferno. It gets to 50°C regularly I’m informed.
